Week 6

One machine can do the work of fifty ordinary men. No machine can do the work of one extraordinary man.
Elbert Hubbard

Hi, I'm here again after two complicated weeks for me because I'm a little sick. However, I'm going to tell you about those weeks and what I learned in them. This is about the week from April 9 to 13. I hope I hadn't forgotten some details about it.
That week, Teacher Wilma with Teacher Gabriela gave us a seminar called "Effective Use of Technology in the EFL Classroom". The seminar contained valuable information about many different sources we can find in the Internet to use with our students, to make the most of technology, and to develop our skills as future teachers, to do our best and be better every day.

Technology has made possible that today we are able to access to different information from some places around the world, from different people who are involved in the same occupation, with the same questions and with excellent solutions too, to apply in our daily work and get new points of view about teaching English.
The Internet contains many reliable and beneficial web pages, where are possible to find online practice to increase the principal four skills (listening, writing, reading and speaking) in our students and in ourselves, too. In addition, there are helpful sites to exchange information and share it with other teachers; videos, social networks to interact with our students and other teachers, virtual storage sites and specialized platforms to make research about topics related to EFL teaching development. Is important to be aware with technology and use it to be better teachers. Children today know how to use a computer, and how to surf on the net; but is important to explain them that Internet is a tool to search new ways to learn, not only for entertainment or "make" friends. If we don't know anything about technology, we couldn't grow with them and use technology in benefit of education.
Well, that's all about this week. It was an interesting week to know more about Internet, and how to use it to be better teachers every day. I leave some of the web pages that we known, to share with you about this sources and its containing.
